Teacher Evaluation

Idaho’s teachers are evaluated every year on a scale of 1 to 4. We discovered that 95 percent of Idaho’s teachers earn a 3 for a variety of reasons. Some superintendents admit to intentionally giving all teachers 3s, declaring it “none of the state’s business.” Yet, the state ties teacher pay to those evaluation.
