IdahoEdTrends.org is a website like no other in Idaho. It has financial, academic and demographic information on every charter and school in Idaho. The information was gathered from the State Department of Education and the State Board of Education and then displayed in an easy-to-use format that is free for anyone to use.
The site’s newest feature was installed this month, and it allows a right-to-left comparison of any four schools.
Type in any four schools or charters and their data pops up side by side by side by side.
For example, a comparison of Borah, Meridian, Pocatello and Coeur d’Alene high schools reveals:
- One of those four almost doubles another in per-pupil expenditure.
- One gets 37 percent of its funding from local tax receipts while another gets less than 5 percent from local taxes.
- One school outscores another by 16 percent in math.
- Another has a college go-on rate 18 percent higher than another.
In other searches, find out how a North Idaho elementary school compares against schools from other corners of the state in staffing, spending and reading scores. Or type in and compare four different charters.
