A week after losing a Caldwell School Board race by four votes, Toni Waters says she will contest the outcome.
“I filed the paperwork this morning,” Waters told the Idaho Press-Tribune Wednesday. “I’m just waiting.”
Running in Caldwell’s Zone 2, Waters lost to incumbent Thomas Briten by four votes. However, five ballots went to residents in Caldwell’s Zone 1, which means Waters can challenge the results.
The next move belongs to District Judge Christopher Nye. He’ll decide on whether to order a special election, and who would get the bill, the Idaho Statesman reported Wednesday.
