Students from all corners of the state celebrated Idaho Day on Friday, but some lucky ones got to spend the day at the Statehouse with Gov. Butch Otter and lawmakers to ring in the second annual celebration. Idaho Day is when Abraham Lincoln signed a congressional act to make Idaho a territory on March 4, 1863.
