BOISE — The State Board of Education is accepting applications from Bonneville County patrons vying as trustees to govern the recently approved College of Eastern Idaho.
A State Board press release issued Tuesday said community interest and feedback from local leaders prompted an expedited selection process.
The State Board will accept cover letters and resumes from people interested in serving as a trustee from June 1 to 23. Applicants must live in Bonneville County, and selectees will represent each of five community college zones within the county.
Cover letters must include the applicant’s address, reason for applying, relevant experience and attached resume. The applications can be faxed, emailed, mailed or hand delivered.

The school is expected to open its doors at the current Eastern Idaho Community College campus as early as August.
