Idaho Education News captures 14 Press Club awards

Idaho Education News captured 14 awards — including first-place honors for online general excellence — in the 2017 Idaho Press Club’s awards competition.

The Press Club awards, announced Saturday night, are open to online news organizations, newspapers and radio and TV stations across the state.

Idaho Education News also received a first place in the First Amendment award, competing against news outlets across the state, for advocating openness in government. The award-winning entry focused on the Nampa School District’s secretive process in hiring a new superintendent.

Idaho Education News’ Andrew Reed also captured a first-place award, when he was named broadcast photographer of the year.
