It’s #Earth Day and some schools took full advantage.
Schools in the Boise School District celebrated #PowerDown day, saving energy by unplugging, taking class outside, and turning off the lights.
Their motto of the day: “Earth is deserving, so we are conserving.”

In the West Ada school district, students at Lowell Scott Middle School heard from the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association.
Some colleges got in on the fun, too. Stevens-Henager College in Idaho Falls posted photos of a clean up day along the Snake River greenbelt.
And, of course, the Earth got plenty of new trees today. Because why not.
