New coronavirus case numbers and hospitalization rates crept up slightly this week.
But while 36 Idahoans died from COVID-19 over the past week, the death rate still slowed somewhat.
As of Friday evening, the state and its seven health districts reported 27,312 confirmed or probable coronavirus cases, a 14 percent increase. Last week’s increase was 15 percent.
Ada and Canyon counties accounted for more than half of this week’s new cases. New case numbers also increased in several other southern Idaho counties: Bonneville, Bannock, Twin Falls and Bingham.
