Another school bomb threat — this one in Hailey — led to an evacuation and school shutdown, and the arrest of a student.
Wood River High School was closed for the day Thursday, after a caller said a bomb would go off at the school at noon. A sophomore was arrested and faces a felony charge of making a bomb threat, Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter told the Idaho Mountain Express.
Thursday’s incident comes after a rash of school threats across southern Idaho last week, including five within a one-hour span on April 11.
A state Department of Education task force is reviewing school safety and security, and is expected to make recommendations to the 2014 Legislature.
