State superintendent Debbie Critchfield held her weekly meeting with the State Department of Education’s executive team Tuesday.

She dedicated most of her morning and afternoon to further preparing for next week’s budget presentation to the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee — the Legislature’s budget-writing body.

Tuesday afternoon, the superintendent met with new Secretary of State Phil McGrane to discuss possible legislation for the 2023 session.

This evening, Critchfield will attend the Blue Cross of Idaho legislative reception.
