A jury has sided with Idaho’s two largest school districts in a federal lawsuit over special education services, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

Diana Abramowski had filed the lawsuit on behalf of her son, Matthew Abramowski. The Abramowskis said the Boise and Meridian school districts had failed to provide the education required under federal law, and had taught Matthew strategies to cope with Asperger’s syndrome.

The districts argued that Matthew, now 19, was given more time and assessments than other students.

Jurors deliberated for about 6 ½ hours Friday, the AP’s Rebecca Boone reported, and U.S. District Judge Candy Dale officially dismissing the lawsuit Wednesday.
