Idaho State reports enrollment increases

Idaho State University is reporting an overall enrollment increase — and its largest first-year student class in a decade.

Total fall enrollment reached 13,078, a 3.5% increase.

Idaho State’s enrollment has increased for four consecutive semesters.

“ISU is going boldly forward in expanding our reach throughout the state by offering important academic programs that serve students in our communities and positively impact the state’s economy and vitality,” President Robert Wagner said in a news release.

Other fall enrollment highlights:

  • Undergraduate enrollment was up for the fourth straight year, and totaled 10,850, a 4.1% increase.
  • First-time undergraduate enrollment was 1,802, a 2.4% increase.
  • Dual credit enrollment totaled 3,152, up 3.4%.

All four of Idaho’s public four-year schools have reported enrollment increases. Boise State University reported record enrollment, the University of Idaho reported the largest first-year class in its history and Lewis-Clark State College reported a 16% increase in degree-seeking first-time students.
