Jurors selected in animal cruelty case involving Idaho teacher

The trial is scheduled to reconvene Friday at 9 a.m.

District officials notified police in December that an employee made an electronic payment of nearly $785,000 to a fraudulent bank account.

“This is extremely devastating for our community,” Teton School Board Chair Chris Isaacson said.

Allegations of misconduct range from inappropriate handling of sexual misconduct claims to questionable financial practices.

Candidates include three Idaho superintendents and one from Montana.

Teacher candidates will have to take additional coursework to complete their certification.

The board plans to replace retiring leader Chuck Shackett by Feb. 13.
