Where students once sought healthcare for things like runny noses and broken arms, they’re now hobbled by things like thoughts of suicide, self-harm and other mental health issues.

Our society needs activists proclaiming the wrongs they see done, and it needs people focused on specific actions affecting change.

As the stress of this student growth, matched by the inflationary pressures in building and rising interest rates, spreads across more and more of our communities we need to find creative ways to work better, smarter and across traditional boundaries.

The trustees that are not up for re-election this year, along with former trustees and administrators, have made some very wide sweeping generalizations about “pro parent” candidates, which they have labeled me, that just aren’t true.

The Board has also been far from transparent. They banned public comment at Board meetings for over a year and ignored my multiple requests for their authority to deny parents and others the important right to have our voices heard at Board meetings
