Episode 100: A look at the $50 million private school tax bill

The debate over private school choice could heat up next week, with the debut of a $50 million tax credit bill.

It’s similar to a private school tuition tax credit that died in committee in 2024.

To get a rundown of the bill — and the politics — Kevin Richert and Ryan Suppe interview three of the bill’s key supporters: Senate Majority Leader Lori Den Hartog, R-Meridian; Rep. Wendy Horman, R-Idaho Falls; and Chris Cargill of the Mountain States Policy Center.
