Episode 48: Exploring the teacher evaluations controversy

Welcome to episode 48 of the Extra Credit podcast.

This week, J.J. Saldana from the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs joined the podcast, which was originally broadcast on Facebook Live. Saldana and Idaho Education News reporters discussed the findings of an audit of teacher evaluations and looked ahead to the 2017 legislative session.

Saldana also offered insights into how the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs works with parents and schools throughout the state, and explained why he is closely following Idaho’s efforts to comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act, a new federal education law.

Plus, co-host Kevin Richert offered a sneak peak of a new reporting project he will unveil next week.

Be sure to check back next week for another new episode of Extra Credit.
