It was a day of celebration for elementary kids and the last finals of the school year for high school teens in the Boise School District on Tuesday. Summer break has began for 25,939 students in the Boise district. Most districts started summer break over the last week.
“As the 2014-15 school year in the Boise School District comes to a close, we can be proud of the accomplishments made by our students and staff members,” said Boise district spokesman Dan Hollar. “Our high schools – Boise, Borah, Capital and Timberline – have once again been nationally recognized as an increasing number of our students are taking advantage of Advanced Placement coursework that better prepares them for success in college.”
The West Ada School District, Idaho’s largest with 36,530 students, wraps up the school year on Wednesday, June 3.
