State superintendent Debbie Critchfield kicked off Monday with the Career Technical Education Advisory Council. This was her first council meeting since joining the group. She then headed to her weekly meeting with the State Department of Education executive team, and a scheduling meeting with SDE staff.
She spent a portion of her Tuesday preparing for “Education and the Workforce” — a panel discussion hosted by the Boise Metro Chamber. The event is scheduled for Wednesday.
Closing out Tuesday, Critchfield met with delegates from the Taiwan-Idaho Education Cooperation.
And throughout the day, the superintendent kept her eye on the Legislature — specifically on the education budgets. The Senate approved a budget relating to Critchfield’s career technical education plan, but tabled the remaining budgets for another day.
