Fueled by the largest incoming class in school history, Brigham Young University-Idaho is reporting a 3.4% increase in on-campus enrollment.
In all, 24,111 students are attending classes on BYU-Idaho’s Rexburg campus, the private university said in its latest enrollment report.
This fall’s increase essentially erased a decrease from the previous year, bringing BYU-Idaho’s campus enrollment back to 2022 levels.
Another enrollment number also increased. BYU-Idaho has 21,473 online students taking classes through BYU Pathway-Worldwide. That’s a 9.1% increase from the previous fall. BYU-Idaho’s online enrollment has increased each fall for at least the past six years.
BYU-Idaho also released other numbers about its fall enrollment:
- Student numbers were nearly evenly divided based on gender, with 12,262 campus-based female students and 11,849 male students.
- Slightly more than a fifth of BYU-Idaho’s on-campus students are married: 5,068 in all.
About 21,000 students are living in Rexburg this fall, according to university estimates.
