Candidate withdraws from Boise trustee race

The field for Boise School Board narrowed Friday.

Stephen Adams, a staff attorney with Ada County, withdrew from the race. He offered no explanation, district spokesman Ryan Hill said.

That leaves three candidates in the Sept.6 election: Beth Oppenheimer,  executive director of the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children; incumbent David Wagers, president of the Idaho Candy Co.; and Monica Walker, a senior loan officer.

The top two vote-getters will win six-year board terms.
