West Ada trustees will meet Thursday night to start reviewing applications for the district’s superintendent’s job.
The closed-door executive session will be held at 6 p.m. at district headquarters, Trustee Russell Joki told Idaho Education News Wednesday morning.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many applicants the district has in hand. The state’s largest district posted an online job notice on Nov. 20 — four weeks after Superintendent Linda Clark abruptly resigned in the wake of months of public squabbling with school board members.
Thursday’s meeting is the next step in what appears to be a fast-track process to narrow the field of applicants. Joki said he hopes to see some finalists come in for on-site interviews before the holiday break.
Meanwhile, the public will have one more chance to weigh in on the West Ada search process. A public meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at Star City Hall.
