Tammy Burks has been named principal at Cynthia Mann Elementary in the Boise School District. This hire means 10 Boise schools will have new principals this fall. (Click here for the list of new principals).
Burks has worked in the Boise School District since 2000 as a junior high assistant principal (South Junior High, 2011 to present), science teacher (Frank Church High School 2010-11, and Fairmont Junior High, 2000-09) and elementary school principal intern (Horizon and Trail Wind elementary schools, 2009-10).
Burks earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and environmental health from Boise State University in 1998, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Boise State University in 2005, and a master of educational leadership from Boise State University in 2009.
