The search for a new Boise School Board member is officially under way.
Would-be trustees can download an application at the district’s website or pick up an application at district headquarters, 8169 W. Victory Road.
Applications must be signed and turned in in person at the district by 4:30 p.m. Dec. 17.
District officials will interview candidates Jan. 7 and, if necessary, Jan. 9. Finalists will attend the board’s Jan. 12 meeting, and trustees will make an appointment that evening.
The appointee will serve on the school board through September 2016, filling out the remainder of the six-year term vacated by Joan Boren. Boren resigned from the board on Oct. 31.
