IdahoEdNews.org gets a makeover

In honor of our fourth year, we’re unveiling a new look today.

IdahoEdNews.org is 3 1/2 years old and more than ready for an upgrade to improve your experience.

We redesigned our website to be more appealing, responsive and easier to navigate.

We focused on simplicity. Our approach was to break the site down to the necessities and introduce a minimal design that showcases the content.

We have been adding new features to our website, such as videos, graphics and photo galleries. Our new design will better accommodate these features.

The new design will be more responsive on mobile devices. We found that most of our readers use our site from mobile devices so we want to ensure they get an optimal user experience.

Our new website has features that will make it easier to share stories, use social media and comment.

IdahoEdNews.org has tallied 1 million page visits and we’ve collected thousands of followers on Twitter, Facebook and our weekly e-newsletter. As we continue to grow, we want to continue providing what’s best for our readers and followers.

We are committed to being the best place to find the most relevant, current and useful information on Idaho public education. So please contact me with your thoughts on the redesign and any story ideas.

Finally, special thanks to our technical engineer Jonathan Sisk and the talented design team at Drake Cooper who devoted months and countless hours helping us develop this awesome new site.

Enjoy.
