Trustees in the Melba School District have hired elementary school principal Sherry Ann Adams as the district’s new superintendent.
Adams will take over for outgoing superintendent Andrew Grover on July 1, according to a district news release. Adams has nearly three decades of education experience and has worked as both the principal of Melba Elementary and the district’s federal programs director.
“After serving the students of Melba for 19 years as the elementary principal, I am excited to take that same dedication, determination, and passion to the district level,” Adams said in the release.
Adams was selected from nine applicants to replace Grover, who this spring took a job as the new executive director of the Idaho Association of School Administrators.
