Mike Rush, the executive director of the State Board of Education, received the Distinguished Service award during this weeks Division of Professional-Technical Education conference.
Rush, who previously served as administrator of the Division of Professional Technical-Education, was recognized for advancing professional-technical education.
“Dr. Rush has worked tirelessly and effectively to support and advance professional-technical education programs throughout the state,” Todd Schwarz, administrator for the Division of Professional-Technical Education, said in a news release. “He is considered a national leader, and this leadership in enhancing PTE has helped expand education and career opportunities for all Idahoans.”
The division conference is being held in Boise, and Rush’s award was announced Monday.
