Budget discussions take up much of state superintendent Sherri Ybarra’s time this week.

State superintendent Sherri Ybarra is holding an orientation session Tuesday for new superintendents, and will speak Friday at the Idaho Association of School Administrators’ annual conference.

On this week’s schedule: another meeting to work on 2020-21 budget requests.

The superintendent has two budget meetings Monday. Her 2020-21 budget requests are due to Gov. Brad Little on Sept. 1.

On this week’s schedule: a Tuesday meeting of one of Gov. Brad Little’s four education reform subcommittees.

State superintendent Sherri Ybarra is in Coeur d’Alene Monday, attending a conference hosted by one of Idaho’s most prominent lobbying groups.

Ybarra has no calendar items for Thursday or Friday, according to the schedule released by her office. Ybarra’s office was closed Monday for Memorial Day.

All told, Ybarra’s calendar includes 4 1/2 hours of meetings, and no scheduled events for Friday.
