A bid to recall Caldwell School Board member Amy Rojas will appear on the November ballot, the Idaho Press-Tribune reported Wednesday.
Meanwhile, critics are still gathering signatures in an attempt to unseat fellow trustee Leif Skyving.
The recall efforts center on the ongoing controversy over the district’s administrative shakeup. In June, trustees ousted Superintendent Tim Rosandick and deputy Luci Asumendi — but they have declined to explain why. Both remain under contract through June 2016 in what the district has described as consulting roles; Rosandick will collect $137,000 and Asumendi $96,297.
The sudden shakeup has sparked recall drives against Rojas and Skyving, two of the three trustees who voted to remove Rosandick and Asumendi. Trustee Thomas Briten also voted to oust Rosandick and Asumendi, but is not subject to the recall drives.
